During our trip around Spain there has been many times where we haven’t known where we will stay or what we’ll do next and this has been a great trust building exercise for the mind.
One of these experiences was when we were invited to do a gathering in Malaga, but after that night we didn’t have a place to sleep for a couple of nights. We came together with our friend Malou and a wonderful eclectic group who want to deepen spiritually, trusting it would all be taken care of. As they all entered the gathering room that afternoon, I could hear they were talking about the war and many current affairs. The main theme was how to save the planet, and I became nervous because I knew that what Jesus wanted me to share would go against all that they believed. The talk began and all my fears fell away. It was a beautiful sharing and what Jesus had to say was well received. As the talk went on everyone became more joyful and peaceful.
Without us knowing, the host had mentioned to a few people we didn’t have a place to stay and once the gathering finished we all started cleaning up. I was guided to go into the kitchen and help with drying up and that’s where an English lady introduced herself to me. She shared her gratitude for the talk and told me that we were welcome to come and stay at her house. I was grateful and said we would pray and let her know. Her house was one hour away from where we were.
The next morning Ana and I woke up and started to pray about our next step. After some time I asked Ana if she felt to stay with our new friend Helen that had offered us to stay at her house. Both Ana and I felt a “yes” and exactly at that moment, a voice message from her came through saying that she would be happy to pick us up, take us to her home and that she felt to provide everything for us. Both Ana and I were so happy and grateful.
We spent 3 wonderful days together sharing the miracles. Helen had come to Spain on her own without speaking any Spanish and had felt guided to buy a house and open a spiritual retreat center. The property was huge, it needed to be fully renovated and it was in the middle of nowhere in the Spanish countryside. She shared all her miracles about how people would knock on her door and bring her exactly what she needed or they would have information about what she needed to do next. As we walked around, the whole place felt like a miracle and was so inspiring to hear how she was living. She had previously lived in a yoga community for 9 years and now had felt to take on this project with no experience whatsoever.
Our meeting felt like a huge blessing of deepening in trust and in the present moment. It felt like a boost from the Holy Spirit and I felt he was telling me to take the next step in my mind and trust Him fully.
This was a beautiful symbol for me to keep trusting more deeply in God’s plan. I have seen how when I try to push and make things happen it doesn’t work and becomes very difficult. My practice is to keep letting go of all my expectations, ideas, plans and let God lead the way to Him.
